Fractional CTrO I Founder @ TCAG: We inspire, enable and drive complex business transformations leveraging the methods of elite athletes I Former VP/C-Level Nike I PepsiCo I HP

THE RISE AND FALL OF NIKE, from an insider senior executive perspective. I thought a lot before writing this article. Mostly because a lot has already been written about it and I didn’t want to add oil to the fire. I finally decided to share my version of the truth, in hopes that millions of leaders in charge of enterprise transformation at scale can learn from this experience. This article gives some of the context that created such a perfect storm for one of the biggest brand in the world to first rise, then stumble. It also draws your attention to the things that you, in your own leadership and business transformation journey, shall pay attention to. Nike is one-of-a-kind and will survive this phase. Your company is not Nike and would have probably died in similar circumstances. Read it. Learn something from it. Go back to work... And just do it. -- Michael MUNOZ Founder, The Corporate Athlete Group Fractional GM & Chief Transformation Officer We inspire, enable and drive complex business transformations leveraging the methods and mindsets of elite athletes.
