NESC Tips : When working around energized equipment, PPE is not the only thing that keeps you safe. One of the most overlooked concepts is: Minimum Approach Distance (MAD). The required distance between a qualified worker and exposed energized parts is not a fixed value. It changes depending on the system voltage and the applicable safety requirements. Before performing testing, commissioning, or maintenance on energized equipment, always verify the required Minimum Approach Distance (MAD) instead of relying on experience or estimation. Refer to NESC Rule 441 – Table 441-1 (AC Live Work Minimum Approach Distances) for the applicable distances. 📌 معلومة سريعة: المسافة الآمنة مش رقم ثابت وإنما بتختلف باختلاف جهد المعدة, عشان كده الخبرة مهمة أه ولكن الرجوع للكود المعتمد أهم. #NESC #ElectricalSafety #PowerSystems #Commissioning #Switchgear #Substation
