🎓 𝗣𝗵𝗗 𝗗𝗲𝗳𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 | 𝗜𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗲 𝗪𝗲𝗹𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘀 On June 19 at 13:00 CET, Irene Weltens will defend his PhD thesis at Maastricht University. Aggression in psychiatric care is often viewed through the lens of the individual patient. But what if the broader environment plays a crucial role as well? In her PhD research, Irene Weltens examined how staff interactions, ward dynamics, and organizational factors contribute to aggression within psychiatric settings. By looking beyond the patient alone, her work provides valuable insights into creating safer environments for both patients and healthcare professionals.
