A new chapter begins !!!   On October 1st, I stepped into the role of Global Head of IT at Merck. It’s a moment of pride and reflection - after nearly 4 years leading our global IT Infrastructure Technology organisation, I’m now taking on additional responsibility for our core IT Application Management and global ERP operations.   It’s about driving operational excellence, enabling digital transformation while maintaining legacy, and making sure our IT backbone empowers every part of the business.   I’m deeply grateful for the trust placed in me, and even more grateful for the incredible teams I get to work with every day. A special thank you to Alessandro De Luca, who has been a fantastic leader over the past four years - and who I’m lucky to continue working with in this next chapter.   And I want to pay tribute to all the brilliant people working in IT Operations. In a world buzzing with GenAI, High Performance Computing, Automation, and Data Science, it’s easy to forget that every innovation still relies on a server somewhere, a piece of storage, a switch - or countless other devices that need to be deployed, connected, maintained, and kept running 24/7.
