A few weeks ago, we shared the finalists and winners of the Pellini Contest, along with the finalists of the Focchi Group Contest… But we left you with a bit of suspense 👀 Today, we’re excited to reveal the winner: 🏆 Kacper Krzysztof Klaus And his vision is worth the spotlight. Here’s the idea in his own words: “The concept emerged naturally from my previous work integrating gravitational batteries into design projects. I’ve seen growing interest in this technology, both in research and real-world applications. Since gravitational batteries rely on the vertical movement of large masses, I started looking at cities differently — especially at the vast vertical surfaces of tall buildings. What if these façades could become active components in energy generation and storage systems? I believe this is a crucial direction to explore. The future of urban energy depends on how creatively we use existing infrastructure. If technology and architecture work together, every building could contribute to the green transition.” A powerful reminder that innovation often comes from rethinking what’s already around us. 👏 Congratulations again to Kacper for this inspiring contribution!
