This morning on International Nurses Day, we proudly unveiled the new Military Nurses Memorial at Woronora Memorial Park and Crematorium, dedicated to recognising Sutherland Shire and Australian War Nurses who served across all of Australia’s conflicts 🎖️   The memorial statue acknowledges the vital, and too often under‑recognised, role that war nurses have played throughout Australia’s military history. Their courage, care and commitment under extraordinary conditions deserve lasting recognition.   This significant memorial was made possible through our partnership with the Shire Military History Club, whose passion for preserving military history and service stories continues to make an important impact 🤍   Our memorial parks are the final resting place for many Australian war nurses and we are deeply proud to honour their service, sacrifice and contribution through this permanent tribute.   Lest we forget.   #WarNurses #AustralianHistory #HonouringOurHeroes
