Today, Chief Operating Officer, Sean Fuller joined leaders from the City of Toronto, Toronto Transit Commission, Toronto Public Health, Toronto Fire Services, Toronto Paramedic Services, and Toronto Police Services to talk about transit readiness ahead of FIFA World Cup 2026™. Here's what you need to know. • From June 10 to July 5, GO service on the Lakeshore West and Lakeshore East lines will be increased to provide frequent, 15-minute service throughout most of the day. Late-night service will also be available on GO Transit and UP Express to help customers get home safely after evening events. • Exhibition GO is the closest GO station to Toronto Stadium (at Exhibition Place) - customers can expect a train every 10–15 minutes before and after matches between Exhibition GO and Union Station. • Metrolinx is preparing for more riders and busier travel times by increasing staff at key stations, installing new signage, wayfinding and fare payment devices, and enhancing coordination with Toronto Police, TTC and City of Toronto. • With nearly 3,000 weekly GO trips available during the tournament, we are helping residents continue their regular commute during busy periods. As always, planning ahead will be key, we encourage customers to allow extra travel time and check schedules in advance on gotransit.com. We are getting ready to keep service running safely and smoothly as Toronto welcomes the world.
