Lakeshore East and Stouffville service was paused this past weekend to complete important construction that can only be done while trains are not running. These photos show just some of the work crews completed during the closure, including track upgrades along the LSE line, such as installing crossover switches, new track panels, replacing ballast and track surfacing. Progress was also made on the future Ontario Line subway, with crews carrying out utility work in Toronto’s east end. We know service disruptions can be frustrating, but these planned closures are necessary to improve and maintain our transit system. Thank you for your patience as we continue to expand GO service and build the Ontario Line.
