Introducing the winners of our Long Form Category at the MetaMorph AI Award 2026. WINNER: Atlas i3 by Toth Gergely RUNNER-UP: The City Between Them by Tali Lotan This category honours excellence in AI-enhanced long films of 20 minutes or more, where at least 50% of the work is AI-generated. Creating long-form AI cinema presents unique challenges, from maintaining character consistency and visual continuity to sustaining a compelling narrative across an extended runtime. Our judges were incredibly impressed by how these filmmakers embraced those challenges, using AI not simply as a tool for generation, but as a means of crafting immersive, emotionally engaging stories. These submissions represent an exciting step forward for AI filmmaking, demonstrating how human creativity and strong directorial vision can harness AI to push the boundaries of what long-form cinema can achieve.
