Born wealthy. Died young, at only 24, giving everything away. Today is the feast of St. Pier Giorgio Frassati — called by St. John Paul II "a man of the Beatitudes.” He climbed mountains, served the poor, and lived the Gospel with a joy that was impossible to ignore. At his funeral, crowds of industrial workers, the unemployed, and the homeless filled the church — people his own family never knew he'd been serving. Holiness doesn't always look like what we expect. Sometimes it looks like a young man giving away his coat on the way home. Today, do one thing for someone who can't repay you. That's the Frassati way.
