🇱🇰 Sri Lanka just made it easier to visit. Effective 25 May 2026, nationals from 40 countries can now obtain a Sri Lanka tourist visa (ETA) completely free of charge for 30 days — with double-entry included. Countries covered include Australia, Canada, China, France, Germany, India, Japan, South Korea, UAE, UK, USA, and more. A few important notes: — All visitors still need to obtain an ETA before arriving in Sri Lanka — The ETA is free and processed online through the official ETA system — Maldivian nationals receive 90 days under a bilateral agreement — Those wishing to stay beyond 30 days can apply for a visa extension upon paying the applicable fee — ETA fees paid before 25.05.2026 are non-refundable This is a significant step forward for Sri Lanka tourism — and a great time to plan your visit to the island. 📍 Source: Sri Lanka Department of Immigration & Emigration — eta.gov.lk
