There are more than 1,000 Kentuckians currently waiting for a lifesaving organ transplant. Last year, Mercy Health — Lourdes Hospital in our Kentucky market made it possible for three organ donors to give the gift of life, saving nine people through the donation of one heart, one lung, three livers, five kidneys, and one pancreas. In addition, healing and hope were extended through four tissue donors and four eye donors last year. Thank you to Network For Hope for donating a flag for us to raise in honor of honor of the people who have given the gift of life through organ, eye and tissue donation.
