Since 2014, we've supported the APEC - Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation Healthy Women, Healthy Economies (HWHE) initiative advancing women’s health to strengthen workforce participation and expand economic opportunity across the region. On the margins of the 2026 APEC Women and the Economy Forum in Shanghai, Merck participated in a policy roundtable bringing together regional leaders to advance dialogue on how women’s health can drive economic resilience. Discussions focused on family and fertility support, integrating caregiving into health systems, and preventing noncommunicable diseases such as thyroid conditions. The dialogue also underscored the sustained impact of the APEC HWHE Research Prize in informing policy and practice. We are committed to advancing collaborative efforts that strengthen women’s health and support more inclusive, resilient economies. #WomensHealth #HealthyWomenHealthyEconomies #AsOneForPatients
