Bringing science and industry together!🤝Recently, the teams behind our joint academic research program with Intel gathered at our headquarters in Darmstadt, Germany, for a workshop. Researchers from eleven universities and institutes across six European countries joined colleagues from Merck and Intel to exchange insights and discuss progress across six active projects. The program, launched in 2023, focuses on exploring more sustainable solutions for semiconductor manufacturing — from AI-assisted materials discovery to more resource-efficient processes. Driving innovation in this industry requires collaboration across disciplines, institutions, and borders.
