Meet Mia — From newsroom to corporate communications, fueled by curiosity, resilience, and a drive to make communications matter. Mia began her career on the front line of journalism. As a trained journalist and TV news reporter, she learned to spot what matters fast, ask the right questions, and turn complexity into clarity under pressure. That foundation shaped her approach in communications: storytelling isn’t decoration—it’s how comms creates impact. After years in B2C communications in China, she returned to Taiwan and joined Merck, taking on the challenge of moving into a B2B industry with a very different cadence and language. She learns fast by staying close to the work, following the news, and asking questions early and often. A major highlight in her career so far has been leading the opening of our Semiconductor Solutions Mega Site in Taiwan—bringing together teams and stakeholders to deliver a high-impact moment for the business and the brand.
