Becoming... a Creator. What does it take to design the world’s first certified vegan interior? For me, it’s passion, innovation, and a commitment to sustainability. My name is Lorena and I work as a development engineer at Mercedes-Benz in the area of seat development. My focus is on sustainable product development in the interior. I am responsible for the implementation of the sustainability goals-for example, the use of recycled materials or the design of new concepts in which recyclability is taken into account right from the start. I am particularly proud of the world's first certified vegan interior that I have co-developed. My journey began with a practical semester in exterior development, followed by working students and bachelor's thesis in the same field. Since 2022, I have been active in the interior and develop components with a focus on sustainability. I am currently studying "Digital Business Management" alongside my career-supported by the internal support program Academic Programs. The people and their ideas make me proud to be part of Mercedes-Benz.
