Drive iconic racing legends from your own cockpit: Experience the EVO II, 300 SLR “722” and 300 SL “Gullwing” in high-end driving simulators at the Mercedes-Benz Museum. Three simulators from Roarington will be available for visitors at Classic Island on Level 0, offering experiences that closely approximate the real thing. What about trying to compete against the best lap times of racing drivers Bernd Mayländer, Bernd Schneider and Karl Wendlinger? They have already tested the simulators and had a lot of fun. Tickets can be purchased online, at the ticket counter and in the Museum Shop. The simulators are extremely sophisticated in both design and programming. Drivers sit in a cockpit with ergonomics modelled on classic sports cars. The technology recreates the sensation of driving these racing icons, including acceleration, braking forces, weight transfer and realistic handling. Digital twins of original vehicles from the Mercedes-Benz collection form the basis of the experience. This allows visitors to immerse themselves actively and emotionally in the world of classic Mercedes-Benz automobiles, setting lap times, refining their driving technique or simply enjoying the driving experience.
