Walking this morning in Melbourne, we heard familiar questions but also new ones were asked. The familiar ones never lose their weight. How do I take the next step when I've outgrown my role? How do I lead with confidence? How do I find my next best role? But alongside them, some newer theme: how do I stay relevant as AI reshapes my field? What comes next after feeling like I’ve hit the ceiling? How do I navigate impostor syndrome despite being experienced? Old or new, these are not questions you think your way out of alone. What turns questions into action is being backed by the right person, someone who has walked a version of the same path and is open about how they navigated it. That’s why our mentors showed up today, and we’re grateful for it, Andi Pert, Angela Kranjcic, Chaman Sidhu, Cindy Batchelor, Claire Elkin, Dannielle Michaels, Div Pillay (GAICD), Fiona MacLeod, Jane Hollman, Justine Heath, Katherine B., Katherine Leong, Kelly Millar, Lisa Williams, Margaret Zita OAM, Meg Bonighton (MAICD), Megan Vassarotti, Mim Bartlett, Paula Benson AM, Renece Brewster GAICD, Ruby Anandajayasekeram, Ruth Wilson, Sarah Anderson (PhD), Selina Lightfoot FAICD, Stella Rosenthal, and Val Brown.
