Everyone wants to talk about bigger hammers, but we’d rather talk about better pile driving. Offshore wind has moved past the point where “more power” is a strategy. When monopiles are getting larger, seabed conditions are harder to predict and noise limits are tightening, the real challenge is not just getting energy into the pile. It is controlling what that energy does next. How much is transferred? How does the pile respond? How does the soil behave? How much noise is generated? How quickly can the offshore team adjust when the installation does not follow the model? That is the difference between just installing a pile and actively managing the performance of the entire foundation installation process. It is where our experience as pile driving experts matters the most. Our hydraulic hammer technology, noise-mitigation systems and operational insight are built around the same principle: power is only useful when it is controlled. The industry does not need louder claims or harder hits, it needs pile driving that protects the schedule, supports compliance and gives project teams more confidence offshore. That is the thinking behind our latest blog.
