Over the past 4 years, I have had the privilege of working as an HR professional in the 3D Animation & VFX industry, collaborating with incredibly talented professionals—3D Modelers, Compositors, 3D Animators, 2D Animators, Lighting Artists, and many other creative minds who bring stories, cartoons, films, and games to life. 🎨✨ Like every industry, ours has experienced both highs and lows. One of the most challenging periods came when the industry faced a significant downturn. 📉 Several studios were forced to shut down, while others merged to sustain their operations. Unfortunately, the greatest impact was felt by the artists and creative professionals who are the heart of this industry. I witnessed situations where 50+ talented individuals were placed on sabbatical due to a lack of active projects. As an HR professional, these were some of the most difficult conversations and decisions to navigate. Behind every employee ID was a person, a family, and a dream. 💙 But what I also witnessed was something remarkable—resilience. 💪 As the market gradually recovered and new projects started coming in, studios began hiring again. Teams were rebuilt, opportunities returned, and artists continued to learn, adapt, and push forward despite uncertainty. 🌱📈 These experiences taught me that HR is far more than hiring and onboarding.
