I'm so excited to share that I'm speaking at Articuland in Orlando this September! The session is called Working Out Loud With Articulate: Turning Work Into Career Growth, and I've been wanting to give this talk for a VERY long time. Here's why it's so important to me personally, the main reason I got my first job at Amazon was because I was working out loud in Articulate's eLearning Heroes community. I was sharing my work, my process, my thinking and someone noticed which opened the door for my first role in tech. That one habit has helped grow my entire career. ➡️ It's how I'm able to get speaking engagements. I've even gotten to speak at countless conferences both all over the US and overseas and even flown to a studio for a live stream because of working out loud. ➡️ It's how I got included in tool pilots, when you share your work publicly, the right people find you for unique opportunities. ➡️ It's how I've gotten almost every role I've had, through visibility I built over time. And showing proof of my work and thought process. In this session I'm going to share exactly how I do it, including how to capture your process without sharing anything proprietary, how to write quick reflections that actually get engagement, and how to build career momentum from the work you're already doing.
