Clinical Imaging Specialist

Last week marked a very special milestone for me and my family. My sister, Casandra Cardenas, MSW, and I completed our masters degrees from Metropolitan State University of Denver and had the privilege of walking across the graduation stage together. As first-gen Latina students this milestone is the culmination of not only our hard work but of our parents’ grit and resilience to provide their daughters with these type of opportunities. MSU Denver has supported my professional growth and changes over the past few years, from working as an x-ray tech, transitioning into management and now working in the medical device industry. I can’t wait to see what doors my Masters in Healthcare Administration will open. Casandra Cardenas, MSW earned her Masters in Social Work. For over two years she has been working at the Garfield County Department of Human Services in Child Welfare. I’m so proud to see her passion for her field and the direct impact she is making in the community we grew up in.
