Restoring damaged areas, repairing critical infrastructure, clearing routes, and supporting engineering operations can require crews to work in environments where hazards remain present. The new M-RACC KE armoured tractor concept, developed by Mehler Protection and STEYR®, is designed with these challenges in mind. Built on the STEYR Terrus CVT platform, the concept combines the versatility of a multifunctional work and transport vehicle with enhanced crew survivability in demanding environments. "Our goal is to give crews the best possible protection against ballistic threats, shrapnel and mines, without compromising the platform’s operational flexibility," says Christian Vahldiek, Managing Director of Mehler Protection Platform Armour. The M-RACC KE will be presented to the public for the first time at Eurosatory 2026, where visitors can see the concept at Hall 5B, Stand C220.
