From relying on reference pictures to creating something entirely my own, I've come so far. Alhamdulillah ❤ ‎ ‎Presenting "AL-JANNAH" ‎‎My first ever imagination based conceptual painting inspired by the beautiful series "Jannah: Home at Last" by Sheikh Omar Suleiman. ‎ ‎I used to imagine Jannah as an upgraded version of the most beautiful places in this dunya but my perspective shifted completely after this series. Jannah is nothing like this world, not even close. It doesn't contain a single thing from this dunya. There will be no sun, only the THRONE of ALLAH making everything shine ✨ No moon, no day or night, just the same pleasant & perfect weather all the time. No sand but saffron, no grass but pearls. No cement but gold and silver, no wordly clothes, just beautiful gowns. And to the people of the Qur'an, there's always a crown. Green cushions and drapes. Larger than the earth will be one grape. Fruits that may look familiar but none will taste the same. ‎ ‎Although this is not an exact depiction of the Jannah that Sheikh Omar described through the references of Hadith and Qur'anic verses, I painted the pieces that truly stuck with my heart and tried to showcase them through my art. Just like my painting, my heart is caught between the beauty of JANNAH and I know it will never get over it until I reach there (InshaAllah). ‎ ‎Like my heart, my mind is also stuck, wondering: How something this beautiful is actually waiting for us and yet I still feel so far from deserving it? Sometimes I even ask myself "Do I even DESERVE 5% of this palace's beauty?" Then I pause because never mind... I can't even IMAGINE 5% of it. Because... ‎ ‎"No eye has seen, no ear has heard and no heart has ever imagined what Allah has prepared for the righteous." ‎ ‎(Sahih al-Bukhari 7498)
