Waste is not the end of a product’s journey—it is the beginning of a new possibility. At Tisser, we have always believed that when waste meets creativity, livelihoods are created and communities thrive. Fabric circularity is one of the strongest examples of this philosophy. In Episode 2 of Kaye Pe Charcha, I had the privilege of engaging with Roop Rashi Ji, the Chairman of the Khadi and Village Industries Commission (KVIC) on the future of Fabric Circularity in India. Our discussion explored how textile waste can be transformed into opportunity through innovation, policy support, artisan-led enterprises and conscious consumer choices. From extending the life of fabrics to creating dignified livelihoods for artisans, circularity is not just an environmental solution—it is an economic and social movement. For Tisser, this conversation resonates deeply with our mission of Women • Waste • Wealth. Every discarded textile has the potential to become a product of value, every artisan has the potential to become an entrepreneur, and every consumer has the power to influence a more sustainable future. As India advances towards a circular economy, collaboration between government, industry, designers, social enterprises and citizens will be the key to scaling impact. I invite you to watch the conversation and join us in reimagining the future of textiles. 🎥 Episode 2 – Fabric Circularity with the Chairman of KVIC https://lnkd.in/djkYfcuA Together, let’s move from linear consumption to circular creation, and from waste to wealth.
