Lead Researcher @ Monzo
Big news: Iโm officially a Monzonaut ๐ How it started: On April 3rd, 2018, I received my Monzo Bank golden ticket through a referral, just months after the original waitlist era, and joined as a new customer. Even then, it felt different. Simple, transparent, and built with real people in mind. I became an early adopter and advocate long before I ever imagined I would be working here. Fast forward to now, and it feels like a homecoming. Iโm back in the London tech scene where my career began, joining a company Iโve admired from the outside for years. The timing could not be more exciting. In just the last few months, Monzo has: ๐ช๐บ Received approval to operate as a full bank in the EU. Hello Ireland ๐ ๐ฎ๐ช ๐ก Expanded into new areas like mortgages with the Habito acquisition ๐ช Welcomed Diana Layfield as CEO - yay for more female leadership in fintech! ๐ Published the Book of Money and launched a Soho pop-up in true Monzo hot-coral style ๐ฅ ๐ฅ ...and so much more, with constant growth and human-centric innovation. It is clear that in 2026 and beyond, Monzo is evolving from a bank account into a true financial hub. I am thrilled to be part of that journey, working alongside thoughtful, talented people, and contributing to products that 15+ million customers (as of this week! ๐) rely on every day. Being at a company that genuinely obsesses over user needs is a dream come true. I am incredibly optimistic about what's next and so excited to work as Lead Researcher covering Borrowing, including mortgages, overdrafts, loans, credit insights and beyond.
