Proud to share this case study from Hexagon Multivista on the work we did at JFK Terminal One, one of the largest aviation redevelopment projects in the U.S. Fast-track design-build comes with constant design changes and dozens of systems being installed at once, which made monthly as-built reporting to the Port Authority a challenge. Instead of the usual approach (a dedicated team manually rebuilding models, sometimes weeks behind the field), we automated as-built IFC model creation directly from the reality capture we were already collecting, on a consistent monthly cadence and without adding headcount. The interim models became the foundation for our final as-constructed delivery, making closeout far smoother. This is what digital delivery should look like going forward, smarter systems turning field data into usable information in real time, not more people doing more manual work.
