Counting down, one more week to go, to our Podcast Peerty #4 at a karaoke in Orchard Road, featuring 4 male C-suites from Microsoft, Reckitt, Ferrero and Barclays. Someone asked me why a panel with all men? A question I am always quick to comment on several LinkedIn posts. Through the hundreds of events I have ran since 2017, I have always made it a point to balance speaker panels not just by gender but also by ethnicity, except for the WomenChangemakers series where it's all women panelists. So here's the reason. We did episode 3 with all female podcastees featuring Patricia Quek from UBS Sarah Samuel from Amadeus Echo Jin from Microsoft Casline Chu from Reckitt We chose to feature all female leaders in one single podcast because there's synergy in their journeys that speaks to our female-majority audience. The resonance is stronger told amongst 4 women rather than balancing 2 gender perspectives. Now for episode 4, we are taking a different narrative with male leaders. The scope of the conversation will be different and it's not about gender. Both episodes are about their personal journeys which includes their career but not about how they got the job but more importantly how they were molded by the choices they made. There is a live audience and on June 4 we have a stronger balance of gender mix amongst the audience. The audience gets to feedback and share their POV and/or ask questions for a good 45mins after an hour of podcast recording. Networking before and after. I am looking to a fun experience with a different choice of venue. Audience can even stay back for some real karaoke.
