Last week, colleagues from across Medtronic UK & Ireland took part in a #Project6 volunteering event in partnership with GOTO Events and Re-cycle, combining teamwork, problem-solving and community impact. Through a series of challenges, teams earned the components needed to build bicycles that will be refurbished and shipped to communities across Zambia, Malawi, Sierra Leone, The Gambia, Nigeria and South Africa. Access to reliable transport can make a significant difference, helping people reach education, healthcare and employment opportunities. Once mechanically tested, each bike will begin a new journey supporting individuals and communities where mobility can be transformative. A huge thank you to everyone who volunteered and helped make the day such a success. We're also grateful to our partners at Re-cycle, who last year alone shipped 20 containers of donated bicycles to communities in need around the world.
