Dr. Jack Wren is a neonatal intensivist at University of Iowa Health Care whose groundbreaking research focuses on improving care for critically ill newborns. In a recent study, Dr. Wren found that early echocardiography for babies with congenital diaphragmatic hernia (CDH) can be done safely without causing clinical instability. By using Sickbay in his research, he was able to track continuous, near real-time vital sign monitoring trends to show that the early echo approach was safe and effective. This work not only changed care practice at his hospital, but faculty are now using Sickbay to supervise procedures remotely from their offices, enabling better oversight when they cannot be physically at the bedside. Learn more about Dr. Wren’s incredible work and how Sickbay empowers visibility for clinicians and researchers alike.  ⬇️ https://lnkd.in/g-mZkR6R
