Oral health is an important part of overall health, so MCW’s Urban and Community Health Scholarly Concentration partnered with multiple organizations to host an oral health learning org fair. The organizations include: Community Smiles Dental - Wisconsin, Wisconsin Department of Health Services, Children's Health Alliance of Wisconsin, Waukesha County Technical College, TMJ Association, Ltd., and JawSpace. Students learned about important oral health topics to improve the health of their future patients. Topics included tooth identification, care for common oral health emergencies, tenets of TMJ care, and the effects of snacking on saliva pH.
