At MediaTek, we believe that small actions can make a huge impact. We launched the "Pen Pal Program," in which 50 MediaTek volunteers connected with 45 children from schools in a high-need area in Taiwan for a year-long letter exchange. This was more than just sending letters; it was a journey of meaningful connection. Through a series of 8 letters, our engineers became mentors and friends, personally sharing their career stories and life experiences. Through the power of the written word, we aimed to open up a world of possibilities for the children and inspire their imagination for the future. As the program concluded, we held the much-anticipated "Virtual Pen Pal Meet-Up". The names that once only existed on paper finally had faces on screen. After a fun surprise introduction using a secret "passcode," the children enthusiastically gave their pen pals a tour of their beautiful school campuses , while our volunteers shared engaging stories about their jobs and the MediaTek environment. This program planted a seed of hope for those children. For MediaTekers, it was a profound responsibility and a privilege 🤗.
