Our Urban Hub Hamburg is live 📦 – marking our 6th Urban Hub go-live and our 5th this year alone. Another milestone in our ongoing rollout of a smarter, faster two-man handling logistics network across Germany. ❓ But why Urban Hubs – and why now? Delivering large products – think washing machines, dryers, fridges and TVs – quickly, reliably and flexibly, and with a full range of additional services, is one of the biggest operational challenges. Urban Hubs are our answer. Strategically located in key metropolitan areas, Urban Hubs act as regional logistics nodes that bring our inventory closer to our customers and our stores. The impact is already visible across our existing hubs in Bremen, Ruhr region, Berlin, Mannheim and Leipzig: ✅ Improved product availability ✅ Faster delivery times ✅ A measurable impact on customer satisfaction (NPS) Urban Hubs don't just benefit customers – they strengthen our stores too. By acting as regional stock buffers and delivery hubs, they reduce pressure on individual stores, improve replenishment. They also enable more flexible delivery options in the future, from same-day and next-day delivery to preferred delivery times. 🚀 Hamburg is live. And the momentum continues: Our next milestones within this fiscal year are the Master Hubs in Hannover and Nuremberg – both significantly more complex undertakings and the first of their kind in our network. Unlike standard Urban Hubs, they will handle not just regional deliveries but also nationwide fulfilment to customers and stores for an even wider assortment. And when regional bottlenecks occur, they will act as a backbone for the entire network.
