In #Yemen, in rural areas and cities like Abs, snake bites are common due to outdoor work and proximity to venomous snakes. Immediate medical care is critical, but access to antivenom is limited, expensive, and sometimes species-specific, making timely treatment difficult and increasing the risk of serious illness or death. Immediate actions including awareness for people, prevention measurements and early medical intervention are urgently needed by humanitarian actors to address the deadly threat in Yemen. MSF is providing free medical care and, in 2025, treated 671 cases, representing a sharp 103% increase compared to 2024. #snakebites
