Yet violence is only one part of the story. People with albinism continue to face barriers in education, employment, healthcare, and everyday life due to harmful misconceptions and persistent stigma. ๐Ÿ”น Hundreds of attacks against people with albinism have been documented worldwide since 2006. ๐Ÿ”น Limited access to sunscreen, eye care, and dermatological services can lead to preventable health complications, including skin cancer. ๐Ÿ”น Women and children with albinism often face additional layers of vulnerability and discrimination. ๐Ÿ”น Social exclusion and misinformation continue to impact quality of life across many communities. On International Albinism Awareness Day, the conversation must go beyond awareness to inclusion, protection, and equal opportunities.
