"The first time someone called me 'Doctor,' I wasn't ready for how much that single word would weigh. Not because of the knowledge it demanded but because of the trust it carried. An elderly patient looked at me and asked, 'Doctor, will I be okay?' In that moment, I realized medicine isn't just about diagnoses, investigations or treatment plans. It's about being present when someone hands you their fear and hopes you'll help carry it. Years later, I still remember that conversation more clearly than many lectures. It's funny how a single word can make you question whether you're ready and inspire you to become the person it believes you already are. š I'll never forget my first time being called "Doctor." What about you? Whether you're a medical student, intern, resident, consultant, or even from a completely different profession. What was the first moment you truly felt the weight of your title?
