This is possible largely thanks to our community health promoters, one of the pillars of our mobile clinics. Yenifer is one of them. Even while pregnant, she continued supporting the team until she was almost ready to give birth. Like all the pregnant women we assist through the Mobile Clinics, she received her birth kit as her due date approached. In Venezuela, to be able to give birth in a public hospital, you must bring gloves and gowns for the doctors, caps, masks, adhesive tape, gauze, syringes, needles, catheters, and many other items. That is why this kit is so important: it contains the supplies the hospital requires in order to attend the birth, plus a few additional essentials. Yenifer had a beautiful baby, whom she broughtโstill a newbornโto a mobile clinic for his check-up. And soon after, she returned to her work as a promoter. On her first clinic day after giving birth, it was her turn to hand a kit to another woman in her third trimester. When the woman received it and saw what it contained, she began to cry. She couldnโt believe itโnow she would be able to be admitted and cared for at the hospital. Once again, we thank you for helping us help others. #thankyou #meals4hope
