I don't trust Anthropic. After everything they've pulled, this may be portrayed as "You get more usage" until a month or two later that pool suddenly depletes immediately. Effectively marking Claude code usage unsustainable. They'll give 0 shits because the real consumer for them is enterprise. And no, we don't want 2x usage for next month. We need a reliable, sustainable path where we can predict our costs so we can see what the viability of building with Claude is. The hostage situation because they've got the best frontier models will evaporate for individuals the moment someone else catches pace but enterprise is not going to budge easily so they'll be largely unaffected anyways. I bet this shift is a Trojan Horse. Let's see what comes of it.
