Lifestyle Choices for Lifelong Health with Caroline Lowisz, PhD Student Living longer doesn’t always mean living well, as there is a difference between lifespan, how long we live, and healthspan, how long we live in good health (free of disability and disease). Join Caroline Lowisz , a PhD student in the Protein Metabolism Research Lab at McMaster University, who will highlight how lifestyle choices made early in adulthood, particularly in our 20s and 30s, have a profound impact on physical function, mobility, and quality of life decades later. She will discuss ways to maintain strength and health so that muscle loss and physical decline are avoidable throughout the aging process, especially after midlife.
