MCB sponsored and participated in ARDA Week 2026 in Cape Town, with a delegation from our Specialised Finance, Commodity Trade Finance team. During the conference, Guillaume Leenhardt, Senior Advisor Energy & Commodities, moderated a panel on capital flows and sustainability, focusing on how to unlock investment in downstream petroleum while addressing the sector’s evolving environmental and economic challenges. The discussion highlighted the need to balance financial viability with more sustainable practices, covering financing constraints, regulatory frameworks and the role of innovation.
