We are committed to boosting local economies through the construction of our development projects. Yesterday, MCB Real Estate, in partnership with The Whiting-Turner Contracting Company, brought together more than 180 Maryland-based small, minority, women, and disadvantaged subcontractor and trade businesses focused on contributing to the future of Baltimore’s waterfront at the Inner Harbor. The session centered on the upcoming Harborplace Inner Harbor Park and Promenade sitework and infrastructure scope of the redevelopment, an ambitious multi-year effort transforming approximately 23 acres of public space along the Inner Harbor promenade. We have said it before, and we will say it again: we are staunchly bullish on Baltimore! With permit construction drawings expected to be issued to qualified subcontractors in Q4 2026, the project represents a generational pipeline of opportunity for regional firms across heavy civil, utilities, marine, and public improvement scopes.
