A big congratulations to our PhD student Jeevan Mutha, who attended the DGFI AK-T Cells Meeting from July 1 to 3 in Raitenhaslach, near Burghausen. At the meeting, Jeevan presented his work on: “Human CD4 CTL lineage heterogeneity and limitations of generalized transcriptomic signatures” In his talk, Jeevan discussed the heterogeneity within human CD4 cytotoxic T lymphocytes and highlighted that unconventional T cells can also form CD4 CTLs. His presentation also addressed an important current limitation in the field: these cells cannot yet be reliably identified within the CD4 CTL compartment using transcriptomic signatures alone. 🧬 The meeting, organised by the lab of Prof. Dietmar Zehn at TUM created a great space for scientific exchange and discussion around T cell biology. A great opportunity to share ongoing work, exchange ideas, and bring fresh perspectives back to the lab. 👏 Well done, Jeevan! #MayerLab #Immunology #TCells #CD4TCells #CD4CTL #DGFI #PhDLife #SingleCell #ScienceCommunication
