FRIDAY FORM - Have been thinking a lot about form lately.. (new project🤐) and although I’ve always had a penchant for any form derived from a circle (sphere, oval, ovoid, oloid etc.), the infinitely adaptable biomorph fully stole my heart way back when… This is one of my first rings, and because it required a minor technical improvement, I had not worn it for years while it languished at the bottom of an overflowing ‘to-do-box’… Finally I made the time to fix it a few weeks ago and have worn it almost everyday since😄 Its biomorphic forms, forms that I normally make spontaneously, come from the very first Jean Arp (relief) painting I ever saw: ‘Cloud Flowers’, right here in the Kunstmuseum Den Haag 🖤 It’s made from factory-leftover and old MUJI Europe Limited frame perspex with silver rim and rivet.
