McDonald’s opens in Gilly! Just one week after celebrating the opening of our 125th restaurant in Ciney, we’re proud to announce another achievement: the launch of our newest and 126th location, in Gilly. With this opening, we’re proud to create new local jobs and boost the region’s economic vitality. We are committed to driving growth, advancing sustainability, and building meaningful connections in every community we serve. Led by franchisee Steven Nicolas, it marks his eighth McDonald’s location. Steven’s journey is truly inspiring: he started his career with McDonald’s as a student about 35 years ago, worked his way up to manager and later supervisor for another franchisee, before taking the leap to become a franchisee himself. The Gilly restaurant offers a welcoming space with 175 indoor seats and 82 outdoor seats, along with a two-lane McDrive for smooth service. Sustainability remains at the heart of our growth, with features such as solar panels, electric vehicle charging stations, waterless urinals, and energy-saving technologies integrated into the design.
