𝗧𝗼𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝗺𝗮𝗿𝗸𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗲𝗻𝗱 𝗼𝗳 𝗺𝘆 𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲 𝗮𝘁 DB mindbox, 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘁𝘂𝗽 𝗵𝘂𝗯 𝗼𝗳 Deutsche Bahn. Coming from a startup background, I was fascinated by the scale and complexity of a corporation like DB. What made this experience truly exciting was contributing to real innovation within such a large structure, tackling today’s challenges with agility, creativity and most importantly - impact. What mattered most to me was being in an environment that encourages continuous learning, where I could take ownership, share ideas, and grow - all while being supported by a team that values trust, open discussion, and collaboration. 𝗗𝘂𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗺𝘆 𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲 𝗮𝘁 𝗗𝗕 𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗯𝗼𝘅, 𝗜 𝗵𝗮𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗼𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝘁𝗼: ⭐ Gain deep insights into corporate innovation processes and understand the complexity, scale and hurdles of a large organization ⭐ Experience the entire innovation cycle - from program initiation and problem discovery to startup scouting and mapping out entire market landscapes using the most cutting-edge tools (s/o to the amazing team at FounderNest) ⭐ Work hands-on by supporting and advising founders and internal stakeholders ⭐ Represent DB at major industry events across Europe, including MWC Barcelona and VivaTech Paris (and loved to travel lots in Germany with ICE) ⭐ Contribute to and take ownership of key projects - including the launch of a new information security innovation program (which just went live today!) ... and so much more! Being able to work through the full innovation cycle was incredibly enriching and inspiring. It showed me how impactful innovation can be when embedded in a positive and empowering team culture, something DB mindbox truly stands for. I’m deeply grateful to have worked alongside so many talented, driven, and inspiring colleagues - thank you for making this experience so special. This team is truly one of a kind. A special thanks to Laura and Simon - thank you for the opportunity and for placing your trust in me. It means a lot. Now, it’s time for the next step in my journey before starting my master’s studies after my gap year.
