I am proud to announce that I successfully defended my PhD thesis on "Quantum-Classical Embedding for Chemistry Applications of Quantum Computing"! The past few years at IBM Research Zurich and the University of Zurich have set me on a path which I could not have foreseen in my wildest dreams. I am grateful to my supervisors Dr. Ivano Tavernelli and Prof. Jürg Hutter for their continuous support and advice throughout my studies. And of course I am also thankful to the other members of my PhD committee, the external referees of my thesis, as well as all of my collaborators, colleagues, family and friends. I could not have done this without all of you!
