Area Vice President of Ambulatory Engineering

Starting January, I took over the Ambulatory Engineering responsibility at CompuGroup Medical SE & Co. KGaA, where our team is shifting gears to support our customers by continuously delivering best-in-class software, guided by our purpose: no one should suffer or die because medical information was missing—never and nowhere. This mission touches each of us personally and shapes how we build our solutions, ensuring that critical medical information is accessible, reliable, and available whenever and wherever it is needed by healthcare providers and patients. Our engineering teams bring together deep expertise in both technology and healthcare, combining the energy and fresh perspectives of our young talents with the knowledge and experience of our senior engineers, many of whom have 20—and in some cases more than 30—years in the field. Together, this blend of skills allows us to tackle complex challenges and continuously improve the solutions we deliver. Our strategy is clear: by putting our customers first and pursuing our meaningful purpose, we are able, as a healthtech leader, to provide a comprehensive platform spanning the entire patient journey. This approach enables us to deliver robust, well-engineered solutions that address physicians’ needs—refined over decades—while leveraging modern technologies and championing our AI-first vision to drive innovation and create new possibilities in patient care. It is a privilege to work alongside the best healthcare engineers in Europe, and together with Prof. Dr. Daniel Gotthardt, Dr. Guido Schroeder, Tobias Schäfer, Tim Gaiser, Pedro Vale, Dirk Wodtke, Christoph Brill, Christopher Roy Turner, Benjamin Grotius and Sven T. M. we are shaping the next-generation healthcare platform that will support physicians and patients for years to come.
