Today we stood alongside more than 1,000 local government workers who walked off the job to demand what every worker deserves: safe and fair working conditions. Council workers are the backbone of our communities. They collect our waste, maintain our parks, staff our libraries, and keep essential services running every day. Yet for too long, the conditions they work under haven't reflected the value they provide. We're proud to stand with the Australian Services Union (Vic/Tas Branch) and these workers in their fight for safe workplaces and fairer pay.
