No patient should receive care in a hospital corridor. But as hospitals become increasingly overcrowded, corridor care is emerging as a growing sign of a healthcare system under pressure. Patients are being treated in hallways, waiting areas, and other spaces not designed for medical care. This raises concerns about delayed treatment, inadequate monitoring, and compromised privacy and dignity. While corridor care is often driven by broader pressures across the healthcare system, providers still have a responsibility to ensure patients receive safe and appropriate care.
