Excited to share our new paper, the DNA barcode reference library for European ants! 🐜 🗺️ https://lnkd.in/e5kjaW6Q We updated the European checklist and provided new distribution data, mitochondrial genetic diversity maps, and mitochondrial trees for all genera. 🐜 650 species are present in Europe 🧬 ~78% are covered 🧬 +6,500 georeferenced COI sequences 🗺️ Genetic diversity & specimen maps for 384 species (all available in the Supporting Information "Atlas": https://lnkd.in/ekK_GikK) A framework for species discovery, biosurveillance, and phylogeography. This project would not have been possible without an amazing team and the help of many colleagues and friends. Thanks for the support!
